The first event of the New Year for the band was to play for the evening service at Chandler's Ford Methodist church on Sunday 6th January. The service was led by Rev. Gareth Hill and held in the Dovetail centre with the band of 13 playing in the library area. The first piece performed was 'Born in Song' arr. Simon Farrenden followed by the carol 'When Wise Men Came Seeking' from the Salvation Army's publication New Christmas Praise. Further hymns included 'As with Gladness Men of Old', 'Repton' (Dear Lord and Father of Mankind), and 'Brightest and Best' (Spean). The final hymn was 'Glorious Things of thee are Spoken' (Abbott's Leigh). As the service finished the band performed 'All the World is Waiting' from the Salvation Army publication Scripture Based Songs.
