The first band event of the Christmas season saw 12 members of the band perform for the SKAL club. The band started by playing half a dozen carols as the diners finished off the final course of their dinners. The floor was then opened up for requests the first of which was 'Come and Join the Celebration' by V Collinson arr. Simon Farrenden. This was followed by 3 carols all from the Salvation Army's publication New Christmas Praise, 'Silent Night', 'The First Nowell', and the 'Calypso Carol'. The next carol was 'Born in the Night' arr. Simon Farrenden.
We then came to the finale by performing 'The 12 Days of Christmas' arr. Keith Lever which was much appreciated and finished with a rousing couple of verses of 'Jingle Bells'.
