The band was asked at quite short notice to provide the music for the Sunday morning worship at Chandler's Ford Methodist church. A reasonable turn out of 17 attended with quite a good balance of instruments. The service was led by Mr David Wrighton and was a Church with Choices service which means part way through the service you can go to other parts of the church to take part in activities all based around a central theme before returning to the main Church to finish the service. This month's theme was 'The Lord's Prayer' and the hymns were specifically chosen to suit the theme. We started with the Introit which was 'Great is Thy Faithfulness' for which we used the Salvation Army's hymn tune book. The first hymn was 'Father in Heaven' arr. Simon Farrenden followed by 'Forgive our Sins as we Forgive' (tune of St. Bernard) arr. Simon Farrenden. We then played 'Give to me, Lord, a Thankful Heart' arr. Helen Cornick with the final hymn 'Be Thou my Vision' from the S.A. hymn tune book. For the offering we played the S.A tune 'Keep in Step' and we finished after the service with 'Dare to be a Daniel' again from the Salvation Army hymn tune book.
