24 members of the band turned out to provide the music of the evening service at Chandler’s Ford Methodist church on Sunday 29th October 2017. The service was led by Rev. Peter Cornick who chose ‘How Great Thou Art’ as the first hymn. This was followed by ‘Break thou the Bread’ arr. Simon Farrenden and ‘Love Devine (Blaenwern)’ from the Salvation Army’s Scripture based songs publication. A good balanced band produced a nice sound playing in the library area of the Dovetail centre. The music continued with ‘A New Commandment’ arr. Simon Farrenden, ‘Jesus is Lord’ from SA Scripture based songs, ‘Hereford’ from the SA Hymn tune book and finished with ‘Majesty’ from the SA scripture based songs book.
