On Saturday 10 December 16 members of the band went to play for a small but enthusiastic group at Landford Mission Hall. The carol service started with 'Joy to the World' and proceeded along with 'Once in Royal David's City', ' Infant Holy', 'Good Christian Men Rejoice' and a new one of the band 'Christians Awake', all of which were played from the Salvation Army's New Christmas Praise book. The band also performed 'Christmas Lullaby' by john Rutter and 'March - The Festive Season' by Paul Curnow for our audience. The carol service was concluded with 'O Come all ye Faithful' followed by much appreciated refreshments. On Sunday 11 December 16 members of the band went to the East Horton Golf club to play for the SKAL club. The band played carols 'As With Gladness, Men of Old', 'Hark the Herald Angels Sing', 'Ding Dong Merrily on High', 'Silent Night', 'Away in a Manger' all from the Salvation Army's New Christmas Praise book. The SKAL members joined in with singing for many of the carols above. The band also played 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas' and 'Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer' from the Sounds of Christmas book by the Salvation Army. Whilst the SKAL members finished their coffee and mince pies we played 'March - The Festive Season' by Paul Curnow, 'The 12 Days of Christmas' arr. Keith Lever, and finally 'Jingle Bells' arr. Derek Ashmore.
