18 members of the band gathered at the Burnage's home for their annual garden party in aid of Naomi House.
The band, which was ably led by Lizette for the afternoon, played 3 sessions to entertain the crowd who had turned out on a hot sunny afternoon to enjoy tea and cake. Each session was made up of playing rousing marches such as ‘The New Recruit’ and ‘The Anchor Song’, some hymns such as ‘Onward Christian Soldiers’, ‘Deep Harmony’ and ‘Song of the Highway’, and some background light entertainment pieces such as ‘Blow the Wind Southerly’, ‘My Guy’, ‘Morricone’s Melody’ and ‘Connecticut Capers’. Many of the guests appreciated the entertainment and remarked on the nice sounds.
