The band made the short trip up the road to Winchester on Saturday 25th June 2022 for the return of the St Cross fete. After a 2 year absence the crowds returned in good number for an enjoyable afternoon. The weather stayed dry however there was a fairly blustery wind which played havoc with music and stands throughout the event.
The band played 3 sessions, with the third being very short. The first session started with 'Home Again' and 'The Lion King'. It continued with 'Mancini Magic' and 'Eternal Flame' finishing with 'Pendine'.
The second section started with 'High Spirits' and 'I Will Follow Him'. Then came 'The Beatles Medley', 'The Muppett Show' and 'Taxi'. The third session consisted of just two pieces 'Over There' and 'Jesus is Lord'.
Our thanks go to Naomi and Hattie, visiting players for the event, and also to Will, Claudia and Jack, all returning players who helped to provide a good overall sound and performance, which was well received from an appreciative public.
