The band was invited to play at Bishopstoke Methodist Church for their platinum jubilee picnic party on Sunday 5th June. A good sized band of 20 performed outside the Church, providing background music whilst Church members ate the buffet and exchanged talk about the Queen's time on the thrown.
Thankfully the weather was favourable as it stayed dry despite remaining overcast for the hour that we played.
We started our performance with the march 'Home Again', followed in contrast by 'Jesus is Lord'. 'The Muppet Show', 'Oh Listen to the Band', 'The Lion King', 'Taxi' and 'Tochter Zion' followed.
'I Will Follow Him', 'Mancini Magic', 'Eternal Flame' and 'High Spirits' brought the entertainment almost to a close, but the only way to end a Jubilee party was with 'The National Anthem'.
