The band visited Bishopstoke Methodist Church on Saturday 18th December after a one year absence. However despite being back at Bishopstoke the event was in a different format to the usual carol service. This year's event was held outdoors in the Church car park and on a Saturday morning, luckily the weather was dry and it wasn't cold.
The band warmed up with the traditional German folk carol 'Gaudette'. The carols followed quickly, and amongst the usual traditional carols we also played 'Ding Dong Merrily', 'Joy to the World' and 'See him Lying in a bed of Straw'.
With the carol service being held outdoors there was not only a good turn out from Church members, but neighbours and passers by also stopped and got involved. An almost full strength band were also playing well, with good balance. There was a few more traditional carols along with 'Jingle Bells', 'Rudolph the red nosed Reindeer' and the crowd favourite '12 Days of Christmas' arr. Keith Lever.
